Real Madrid have a fierce reputation of spending big to land the brightest prospects in the game.

And Alli fits the bill at Madrid and is reportedly already on Florentino Perez’s transfer shortlist.

But United will hope to convince the playmaker that his future belongs in the Premier League if he does decide to leave Spurs.

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, the Red Devils are willing to part with a £180m offer to fend off Real Madrid.

And they believe Tottenham will find it difficult to turn down that amount of cash.

Alli’s future will look uncertain if Tottenham fail to win any silverware this season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are already 13 points behind league leaders Manchester City and the boss admitted their title race was over following the 1-1 draw at home to West Brom.
