If games finished after 90 minutes Burnley would have been unbeaten in their last three games against Arsenal.
As it happens they’ve won zero points from a possible nine against Arsene Wenger’s side.
So what’s going wrong?
Let’s start with Arsenal and Burnley’s most recent meeting, which took place this afternoon.
Everything was going to plan until James Tarkowski was adjudged to have pushed Aaron Ramsey, allowing Alexis Sanchez to convert a 92nd minute penalty.
Better late than never.
Back in January it was a similar story.
Andre Gray’s late goal looked like rescuing a point after Shkodran Mustafi opened the scoring.
But Sanchez netted a 98th minute penalty to secure three points for Arsenal.
And in the previous meeting at Turf Moor it took a 93rd minute goal from Lauren Koscielny for Arsenal to win.
So, compared to the last two games, Arsenal’s winner actually came quite early today.
We don’t even want to think about how gravely Sean Dyche’s voice is going to be after this latest defeat.
