Steve Bruce is top of David Beckham’s wishlist to be boss of his new Miami team in the MLS, according to The Sun.
Aston Villa chief Bruce will be officially approached when Beckham gets the go-ahead for Miami to join the American league.
Becks hopes the side can be up and running shortly — after years working on the project since hanging up his boots.
And Bruce is part of the master plan, with an offer to swap the Midlands for sunny Florida a potentially attractive idea.
The ex-Hull and Sunderland boss is currently trying to get Villa out of the Championship and will be committed to that task for the season.
But he could have an interesting option if that does not work out as Beckham has big plans for Miami to become a major player.
Bruce, 56, and Beckham, 42, have been close since their Manchester United days.
The young midfielder was under the veteran defender’s wing at the start of his career.
Bruce tried to tempt him home to England a couple of times.
Now Becks is trying to lure him the other way.
