This will certainly boost United, who’ve suffered in the Premier League recently with losses to Huddersfield and Chelsea.
Ibrahimovic is literally like a new signing for Mourinho’s side, having been released at the end of last season following his nasty knee injury, before being re-signed at the end of the transfer window.
Pogba, meanwhile, has been a big miss after making a superb start to the season, while Rojo was arguably United’s best defender towards the end of the last campaign before also picking up a serious knee injury.
Speaking to MUTV ahead of the clash with Newcastle, Mourinho insisted: “The players that stayed here and were recovering from injuries, even the ones that are recovering from big injuries, they are ready to play.”
When asked to elaborate on who he meant, he replied: “Pogba, Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo.”
All three were injured during European action — with the latter pair yet to feature at all this season.
Ibrahimovic landed awkwardly during the Europa League quarter-final second leg clash with Anderlecht, with Rojo’s injury happening in the semi-final second leg.
Pogba, meanwhile, pulled up during the Champions League clash against Basel.
So, do we see Ibra making his long-awaited comeback against the Magpies this weekend?
Considering Romelu Lukaku’s struggles in front of goal for United recently, it’s certainly a possibility.
And if you fancy taking a gamble on the towering Swede, he’s currently priced at just £5million on Dream Team.
