It seems Jose Mourinho’s relentless search for a new winger knows no bounds, with the Manchester United coach reportedly eyeing Valencia’s Carlos Soler in January.
Mourinho spent a good portion of the summer chasing Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic, who was identified as the Special One’s main transfer target after he secured Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.

But the Croatian slipped through his fingers, leaving him searching for alternatives.
According to the Independent, Spain Under-21 star Soler will be United’s sole target in January, with Mourinho desperate to add some extra creative flair to his midfield.
Paul Pogba’s absence through injury over the last few weeks has seen the Red Devils fall to the wayside in their pursuit of Premier League table-toppers Man City.
Main attacking outlet Lukaku has also struggled to find the back of the net in recent matches without his good pal Paul doing the creative stuff behind him.
Soler – who has been used on the right flank for Valencia this term but can also play centrally – could cost United around £40 million, with Los Che coach Marcelino keen to keep the academy graduate at the Mestalla unless a big fee comes in.
The 20-year-old has reportedly ‘greatly impressed’ United’s staff in recent months, having only made his debut for Valencia back in December.
The Red Devils could even consider the possibility of offering Andreas Pereira – who is currently on loan at the Spnaish side – plus cash for his services.
