The good, the bad and the triggered: a week on Dream Team social

We take a look at the best messages we received this week from the Dream Team fans.

What a week of football news it’s been folks.

No matter what corner of the internet you may roam, everyone has an opinion on the hottest topics.

And as always, we Dream Team social media managers, whether bantering your club or simply releasing a story about injury news, are instantly blamed for your club’s misfortunes.

The simple truth is that we here at Dream Team love and hate all teams equally.

Sure, some clubs get a favourable mention from time to time, but find me one club we haven’t made fun of and I’ll buy you a pint.

So with that in mind, it’s time for the return of our favourite weekly feature. Prepare to be triggered.

Twitter rolled out it’s brand new 280 character limit to the masses this week, enabling every Tom, Dick and Harry to extend their short-form ramblings to essay length nonsense.

We knew exactly where to begin with our first post.

Admit it, all that scrolling wound you up. Mission complete.

Despite a few hundred people enjoying our tweet, it truly irritated some of our followers:

But that wasn’t the only tweet we posted that irked our beloved audience.

At first glance, you see what we believed to be a truly outrageous and unbelievable stat:

Did the good people of the internet feel the same? Of course not.

On Tuesday, my colleague James wrote a delightful piece about some of the best football kits ever.

From PSG to Fiorentina, via Hull City and Coventry, the kits of 1992 really did reach the pinnacle of design.

An article about said kits thoroughly deserving.

Fairly harmless right? Just a compilation of some football strips yes? Wrong.

The West Ham board this week announced that David Moyes was to be their new manager.

Never has a better opportunity for banter presented itself.

David Moyes admits he is keeping an eye on Premier League results for his chance to jump back into management

Jamie McPhilimey - The Sun

A simple question at first glance yes, but you marvellous people really came up trumps with your response to this question:

As always here at Dream Team, we like to leave you with a rejected sketch idea that didn’t make the cut this week.

With news of rumoured campmates in the new series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here being revealed over the next few days, one name caught my eye.

The wife of Leicester City star Jamie Vardy, Rebekah.

Jamie Vardy will be bringing wife Rebekah if he's selected

Picture this: with a month home alone in England, Jamie gets the band back together for one big Vardy party, that of which the city of Leicester simply cannot contain.

Bring your Vodka and your Skittles folks, we’ll catch you again next week.
