We might as well call it a day now because it really doesn’t get any better than this.
Santi Cazorla is probably the most ambidextrous footballer on the planet with the Spaniard regularly known to switch feet when taking corners at Arsenal.
But Verdi has just outdone him.
Against Crotone yesterday, the Italian international scored two free kicks with DIFFERENT feet in the first half.
In the 38th minute, Verdi stepped up to curl a beautiful effort into the top corner from 25 yards out.
And then just seven minutes later he was at again, this time with his right foot from almost the same distance.
According to Opta, it was the first time it had happened some maverick did it in the 2004/05 season.
Flair.
On his Transfermarkt profile page Verdi ambitiously has ‘both’ marked next to which foot he prefers.
But on this evidence that’s pretty accurate.
Verdi began his career at AC Milan was but never really afford the chance to shine.
After a couple of pretty uninspiring loan moves he moved to Bologna last summer, where he is now really starting to fulfil his potential.
