Here’s a fun fact: Five years ago, Dele Alli was making his debut for MK Dons in League One.
Fast forward to present day, and he’s tearing apart Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Not bad, huh?
The 21-year-old has been simply sensational this evening, providing Tottenham with that extra oomph in attack.
He notched Spurs’ opener in the first-half, finishing off a wonderful move that involved Harry Winks and Kieran Trippier.
And he was the man of the moment for their second.
Receiving a pass from Winks deep into Real’s half on the 55th minute, Alli then beats the on-rushing Casemiro with one simple move and sprints towards goal.
Desperate to dispossess the Englishman, Casemiro then makes a ridiculous sliding-tackle that misses the youngster by miles.
He can only watch on as Alli then strikes the ball into the back of the net, thanks to a slight ricochet off of Sergio Ramos.
Casemiro is widely considered the best defensive midfielder in the world – having established himself as a regular in Zinedine Zidane’s side last season.
But Alli made him look pretty ordinary in just one move.
Casemiro? More like… Fraudemiro.
