Arsenal’s current crop of youngsters look pretty exciting.
We’ve seen plenty from the likes of Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock and Ainsley Maitland-Niles this season, with Arsene Wenger frequently fielding the academy graduates in the Gunners’ Europa League campaign.
And we’re impressed by what we’ve seen.
Nelon’s speed and trickery has gained plenty of praise so far this season, but Maitland-Niles looks like the king of nutmegs judging by this video posted by Arsenal on Twitter earlier today.
In a training session ahead of their clash against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday, Maitland-Niles somehow manages to slide the ball through Wenger’s legs during a keepy-uppy drill.
We’re not actually sure if he meant to do that or not, but it was brilliant regardless.
Even Wenger loved it, congratulating the 20-year-old with a hearty “well done, well done”.
Check this out:
We’re fully expecting to see Maitland-Niles start for the Gunners against Red Star on Thursday night.
In the Europa League, the England youth star has often played in the left wing-back role, and often switches places with Nelson during the match.
The pair look like great prospects.
