Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
The 19-year-old Frenchman has attracted interest from a host of Europe’s biggest clubs after excelling in the Bundesliga.
The Reds have been closely tracking the progress of the youngster for the past two seasons, according to Calciomercato.
He has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest prospects after completing an £8.8million switch from RB Salzburg in January.

Jose Mourinho will face competition from AC Milan – who are planning to make a move for the teenager in January.
Liverpool and Barcelona have also been previously linked with the Frenchman.

Upamecano reportedly has a new deal on the table with Leipzig which would raise his buyout clause to around £88million.
Leipzig’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick previously said: “Due to his age, potential and style, he’s a player that adapts perfectly to the philosophy of our club.
“We are delighted that, despite having offers from big clubs, he decided to sign for us.”
The teenager has represented France from under-16 level up to the under-19’s.
France won the 2015 UEFA European under-17 Championship, with Upamecano featuring in all six of his sides matches.
The teenager was also named in the team of the tournament.
Jose Mourinho will be looking to bolster his defence in January as the Reds continue to chase Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
