So who’s Perez dreaming of getting in a Madrid shirt?
Neymar? Kylian Mbappe? Peter Crouch? Nope, Perez isn’t going down the superstar route.
Instead he’s reportedly looking at three diamonds in the rough to replace one of the best to ever do it.
Goncalo Guedes, Lincoln and Alanzinho are the three ideal candidates for Madrid.
Guedes, an international team-mate of Ronaldo, has had a fine start to life at Valencia, with some even calling him the ‘new David Villa’.
The 20-year-old, who has scored three goals in six La Liga starts, is on loan from PSG, who are expected to bring him back to Paris in the summer.
The other two names on Madrid’s shortlist were both members of Brazil’s Under-17 squad that finished third at the World Cup.
Lincoln, who currently plays for Flamengo, is also being tracked by Barcelona according to Marca.
Alanzhinho was Brazil’s no.10 during the tournament and has already reportedly agreed a deal with Madrid to move to Spain.
If either Lincoln or Alanzinho want some advice they can talk to Vinicius JR, who’ll be joining Madrid in 2018.
Madrid is starting to look like Copacabana Beach.
