The last six days have not been kind to Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren.
Lovren lasted just 31 minutes against Spurs before being hooked by Jurgen Klopp.
The 28-year-old had the chance to make up for his mistake-riddled performance when Liverpool hosted Huddersfield, but his afternoon didn’t last long.
In fact his afternoon never even got started.
Lovren was named in the starting XI by Klopp but was forced to pull out ten minutes before kick off.
Liverpool supporters’ excitement was quickly curtailed when they realised Ragnar Klavan was coming in to replace him.
Now, as you can imagine, social media was full of messages of encouragement for Lovren.
Sometimes if you don’t laugh you’ll cry, so there was also a health dose of comedy.
But was all this just a clever plan by Klopp to drop Lovren without actually having to drop him?
If so, it’s a fantastic bit of man management.
Or did one of Lovren’s team-mates just get fed up of his mistakes and take him out in the warm up?
So many questions, so few answers.
