The Carabao Cup draw for the quarter-finals has been made. At last.
The live stream for the relatively simple task of drawing balls out of a pot descended into farce as the cup organisers experienced ‘minor technical difficulties’ which delayed the draw by over 90 minutes.
The blunder was the latest in a series of problems to hit the League Cup this season, with fans growing impatient at the ineptitude of the draws.
Eventually, the draw did take place, but in a pre-recorded video, which you can watch in the tweet below.
The draw is as follows:
Chelsea v Bournemouth
Arsenal v West Ham
Leicester v Manchester City
Bristol City v Manchester United
West Ham sealed their route through by staging a second-half comeback to beat London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 on Wednesday night.
Arsenal had to rely on late goals from youngster Eddie Nketiah to win against Norwich.
Manchester City were taken to penalties by Wolves before progressing, while Manchester United defeated Swansea 2-0.
Leicester beat Leeds, Bournemouth defeated Middlesbrough and Bristol City pulled off the shock of the round with a 4-1 win over Crystal Palace.
The ties will be played on Tuesday December 19 and Wednesday December 20.
