Daniel Levy. Spurs chairman first, master of trolling second.
This is the man who sold Roberto Soldado to Villarreal for actual money.
So it’s little surprise that he’s taken to trolling Real Madrid every time they win the Champions League.
Madrid chairman Florentino Perez, speaking on Cadena COPE, revealed that he’s been getting a text from Levy after triumph.
Disappointingly he hasn’t been sending Champions League themed nudes.
He’s been reminding Perez of the role Spurs have played in each of their European victories.
Perez said: “Every time we win a European title, he sends me the same message. ‘Congratulations for the European title you have won with my players.'”
To be fair, he does have a bit of a point.
The linchpin of this current Madrid team, Luka Modric, spent four years at White Hart Lane before making the switch to Spain.
Levy also received a world record fee for Gareth Bale when he made the move in 2013 for £85.3million.
The more Bale sits out on the sidelines the more that looks like a massive troll on Levy’s behalf as well.
