Someone needs to get Samir Nasri and Mario Balotelli into a boxing ring

Samir Nasri labelled Mario Balotelli overrated in an interview with Canal+, but had kinder words for Arsene Wenger

First came Tyson v Holyfield. Then came Mayweather v McGregor. Now comes Nasri v Balotelli.

In an interview with Canal Football Club Samir Nasri had some less than complimentary words for his former Man City team-mate.

When asked who the most overrated player he ever shared a pitch with, Nasri had little hesitation in saying: “Mario is overrated in my opinion.”

The interviewer then followed up by saying ‘Balotelli?’, to which Nasri simply confirmed ‘yes’.

Brutal.

But there was better new for Yaya Toure whom Nasri, after a long think, described as the best player he’s partnered during his career.

And so it begins

Not bad when you consider Nasri has played with Thierry Henry, Claude Makelele and Lilian Thuram.

Arsene Wenger will also be pleased to hear that he didn’t catch any shots, with Nasri naming him and Jorge Sampaoli as the coaches he liked the most.

Didier Deschamps wasn’t as lucky as Nasri labelled him the coach he liked the least. Sorry Didier.

Why always Samir?

Why always Samir?

One thing you have to admit about Nasri is that he doesn’t pull any punches.

When asked the questions he gave honest replies, although whether that calms Balotelli down remains to be seen.

Someone get on the phone to Eddie Hearn. Hes got a fight to organise.
