There will only ever be one Philipp Lahm.
But Bayern Munich’s quest to find a potentially world-class right-back to replace him couldn’t have gone any better.
Joshua Kimmich is a tremendously gifted footballer.
Many fans of the Bavarian giants have been left smugly asking themselves ‘What can’t do Kimmich?’ after the versatile 22-year-old added to his already impressive portfolio with a special header in the Champions League against Celtic at the Allianz Arena.
Kingsley Coman dazzled down the left flank but looked to have sent his cross a tad too deep for a team-mate to head at goal first time.
But Josh Kimmich is no ordinary player.
Standing somewhere close to 13 yards away from goal, the German international picked his spot in the far corner and executed the difficult finish with expert precision.
You don’t see goals like this very often…

Thomas Muller had put the hosts one-nil up before Kimmich’s header doubled the lead just before the half-hour mark.
Mats Hummels then converted an Arjen Robben corner five minutes after the restart to put Bayern firmly in control.
As far as we know ‘Header of the Season’ isn’t an award but if it were, surely Kimmich’s effort would be worthy?
