It has been reported that he would prefer to stay with the Catalan club and fight for contention in the first team.

However he has expressed concerns he may never be selected to represented Barca, and could follow the likes of Hector Bellerin, Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique who all left the esteemed academy for England.

He was part of the Spain squad that won the U-17 European Championships in 2017, where they beat England in the final.

He finished the tournament as the top goalscorer – netting eight goals – and is the top goalscorer for the Spanish U-17 side, finding the back of the net 21 times in 31 games.
