You can rest easy, folks.
Cristiano Ronaldo has finally scored a goal in La Liga this season, netting the late winner in Real Madrid’s local derby clash against Getafe.
All is well in the world again then, right?
Despite grabbing a hard-earned three points, CR7 was responsible for the miss of the SEASON deep into the second-half with the score locked at 1-1.
The reigning Spanish champions had gone ahead in the opening 45 minutes through Karim Benzema, but Getafe drew level under controversial circumstances – with goalscorer Jorge Molina seemingly offside when he struck early into the second-half.
Ronaldo – whose five goals this season had come in the Champions League or Spanish Super Cup – then somehow poked wide from close range with just an open goal at his mercy.

But don’t worry.
The Portuguese Demigod made up for his howler with this lovely late strike to snatch all three points for the visitors.
Faith in the world is restore.
The result puts Real Madrid up to second in the table, but Barcelona – who play late on Saturday evening – are way out in front and could be as much as SEVEN points clear of Los Blancos if they beat Atletico Madrid.
Real will certainly be hoping for a small favour from their neighbours.
