Well things have changed under Gareth Southgate.
What’s that? They haven’t? Oh, apologies. We’ve got that completely wrong.
Things are still very much the same under Southgate, with England’s players presumably playing rock, paper, scissors to decide who takes set pieces.
But, luckily for Southgate, it went completely unnoticed by England fans.
What? We’ve got that wrong again? Oh dear, it seems everyone has noticed and is now taking to Twitter to give Southgate 280-characters of carefully constructed criticism.
Some complained about Marcus Rashford taking corners…
Some complained about Kyle Walker taking free-kicks
Some went the whole hog and complained about both…
Seeing Walker blaze a free-kick fifteen yards over the bar with Kane watching on is enough to make any England fan support Scotland.
Okay, maybe not that bad.
But who cares. Thanks to Kane’s 94th minute goal we’re going to the 2018 World Cup. Happy days.
