EDINSON CAVANI insists that Paris Saint-Germain must remain a “family” on the pitch.
His plea comes despite recent bad blood between the Uruguayan and record signing £198million Neymar.
The two superstars clashed over the taking of a penalty against Lyon.
Cavani – the club’s long-time penalty taker – fluffed the kick, prompting suggestions of a rift between the Brazilian and PSG players.
But speaking after the 3-0 thrashing of Bayern Munich in Wednesday’s Champions League clash, Cavani addressed tghe issue for the first time.
And he was adamant the atmosphere at the club is positive.
He told Mediaset Premium: “We are all different, we might all have different ways of living and seeing things.
“But when we are on the pitch, we have to all work together…
“As if we’re a family to go towards the same objective, which is for the team to win.”
Both Neymar and Cavani scored against the Bundesliga champions.
Dani Alves opened the scoring in a convincing victory.
Bayern’s capitulation was the club’s worst defeat in the group stages since since a 3-0 loss at Lyon in March 2001.
