Paris Saint-Germain have gone from Champions League also-rans to genuine contenders this season.
The Ligue 1 giants are in exceptionally good nick, with the front three of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edison Cavani arguably the best attacking trio on the planet right now.
The expensively assembled front-line made little work of Bayern in this evening’s Champions League clash, as they dominated the Germans in a 3-0 win.
Marauding right-back Dani Alves opened the score for PSG, with Cavani adding a second after half an hour with a wonder strike from distance.
Of course, all eyes were on whether Neymar would actually join him in celebration.
And the Parisian’s third goal in the second half wonderfully summed up their attacking prowess, as youngster Mbappe ran into the box and sent David Alaba for a hotdog in the process.
Check this out.
Collecting the ball on the edge of the box, Mbappe strolled into the 18-yard box with Alaba covering his lines.
But in one more, Mbappe turned the Austrian inside out and sent a bullet cross into the centre which Neymar finished easily.
Remember when Alaba was the best left-back in the world?
