Every cloud has a silver lining.
Arkadiusz Milik, who missed most of last season with a torn cruciate ligament, looks to have suffered a similar injury during Napoli’s 3-2 win against SPAL.
But his misfortune could open the door for the best name in football to return to the Stadio San Paolo.
Roberto Inglese, aka Bobby English, will be recalled from his loan at Chievo by Napoli, according to Calcio Mercato.
Bobby English. Sensational. The most English name to come out of Serie A since, well, ever.
Has Gareth Southgate checked to see if he’s got an English passport?
Inglese joined Napoli from Chievo in the summer but was loaned straight back to his former club in order to continue picking up first-team minutes.
He’s scored in both of Chievo’s Serie A wins this season, against Udinese and Cagliari.
Now he’ll have a chance to return to Napoli, who’ve had a fantastic start to the season under Maurizio Sarri.
Napoli have won every game this season, scoring 22 goals in the process to top Serie A.
However with Juventus matching their pace Sarri’s side will need plenty of firepower to last the season.
Time to call on Bobby English. And get Bobby Goals involved while you’re at it.
