If you felt there was something missing from this summer you were spot on.
This was the first transfer window since the 2013/14 season that Liverpool didn’t manage to sign a Southampton player, although they gave it a bloody good go.
But, don’t worry Liverpool fans, there’s always next summer to make up for it.

Many Liverpool fans have already identified who they next want through the door, and it isn’t Virgil van Dijk.
Mario Lemina put on an impressive display in midfield against Man United, although it wasn’t enough to avoid defeat.
Over to you, Jurgen Klopp.
Lemina joined Southampton in a club-record deal from Juventus in the summer.
In truth he was never really in the picture in Turin, playing 29 Serie A games in two seasons.
Prior to his spell in Italy Lemina played in Ligue 1 for Lorient and Marseille.
The 24-year-old was also part of France’s Under-20 World Cup winning squad in 2013, alongside Paul Pogba, Kurt Zouma, Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne.
He has since committed his international future to Gabon and has won 11 international caps.
You may as well pop down to the club shop now and start ordering his shirt, Liverpool fans.
