It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been a football fan, there’s always room for a surprise or two.
So how about this – Luis Suarez’s son could be a fan of Championship side Middlesbrough.
The Barcelona superstar posted a video on his Instagram story on Thursday evening, showing him have a kickabout with his kid at home.
But eagle-eyed Boro fans noticed one very surprising thing about the video – Suarez’s son Benjamin was donning the colours of the North-East club.
And that’s not to mention the fact he also looks like a fairly decent keeper.
Fans of the Championship club, who currently lie seventh in the table, were quick to wonder how one of the world’s most famous players’ sons would choose the Boro red.
Some theorised that it was possibly a gift from fellow Uruguayan Cristhian Stuani, who played for Boro between 2015 and 2017, before moving to Girona in the summer.
Barcelona take on Girona this weekend in the first league derby against their neighbours, so Stuani and Suarez are likely to bump into each other from time to time.
But Suarez’s son, a big fan of wearing the Boro shirt? We didn’t expect to see that on a Thursday night, that’s for sure.
Romelu Lukaku or Sergio Aguero? Why not both?
