When you’re being tracked by both Manchester United and Liverpool, you must have a bit about you.
Well step forward Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
According to Italian news outlet CalcioMercato, Jose Mourinho ‘loves’ the highly-rated Lazio star and is obsessed with getting a deal over the line at the end of the season.
The big problem?
United are far from the only side who want the Serbian midfielder, with Juventus, Napoli and both Milan clubs also keen on him.
Liverpool first expressed an interest in Milinkovic-Savic as an alternative to Naby Keita, who they eventually wrapped up a club-record deal to sign next summer from RB Leizpig.
It remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp’s side will renew their interest in the 22-year-old despite snapping up Keita.
Milinkovic-Savic is regarded as one of the finest young midfielders in Italy and has become a regular fixture for Lazio in the last season.
Last term he made 39 appearances scoring seven goals and notching ten assists in all competitions.
Milinkovic-Savic’s agent is controversial ex-Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman, who has confirmed in recent weeks his client is seeking a new club next summer.
