Did you spot Alexis Sanchez’s bizarre reaction to Alexandre Lacazette’s open goal miss?

The Frenchman squandered a superb chance to break the deadlock after good work from Aaron Ramsey

Even when he’s on the bench all eyes are on Alexis Sanchez.

Chelsea started the Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge as favourites but Arsenal probably had the better of the first half and certainly came closest to scoring.

Alexandre Lacazette volleyed high and wide with the goal at his mercy, much to the annoyance of Gunners everywhere.

Now check out Sanchez’s reaction to the miss…

At first he seems as frustrated as anyone as he gives poor David Ospina a thrashing.

But then he suddenly sees the funny side and appears to laugh as he quickly makes it up to his team-mate with a hug.

Quite the emotional range.

Something amusing, Alexis?

Lacazette would have expected to score after Aaron Ramsey briefly morphed into Lionel Messi to dance his way through Chelsea’s defence.

But the France international could not control his left-footed effort after the ball rebounded to him off the post.

If only it had fallen on his right foot.

Truth me told, Lacazette was probably Arsenal’s worst player before the interval.

Would have Sanchez have buried the same chance?
