You already know who it is.
Roy Hodgson is reportedly keen on making Jack Wilshere his first Crystal Palace signing in January.
The injury-prone midfielder is in exile at Arsenal right now and is out of contract at the end of the season.
According to the Daily Mail, Hodgson is planning to monitor Wilshere’s progress in the next few months and is hoping to land the England international on the cheap if all goes to plan.
The 25-year-old playmaker has 34 caps for the Three Lions, the majority of which came under Hodgson.
In fact, Wilshere was the sixth most capped player of the Hodgson era.
During a rare spell of fitness, the Gunners stalwart won seven consecutive Man of the Match awards for England starting in 2014 and ending in the summer of the following year.
Wilshere’s talent has rarely been doubted but many now question what the long-lasting impact of his injuries will have on his ability to play consistently at the top level.
Ironically, Wilshere is the type of player, with his wide range of passing, that would have helped Frank de Boer implement his tactical philosophy more successfully at Selhurst Park.
Hodgson takes over with the Eagles having lost all of their four of their Premier League games without scoring a goal.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the former England boss said: “It will be tough, of course, but it won’t just be tough for us, it’ll be tough for a few teams.
“We’re four games in and the start has been a poor one, we can’t deny that, but there’s 38 games in the league season and there’s 34 more to play and quite frankly the relegation issues are not going to be decided this side of Christmas, they’re probably not going to be decided this side of Easter.”
