Look away now Spurs fans.
Mino Raiola and Jorge Mendes, two men who specialise in the art of manipulating expensive and often heartbreaking transfers away from clubs, are battling to sign Dele Alli.
Alli has been without an adviser since splitting from Impact Sports Management but The Times has revealed an ongoing power struggle at the very top for his services.
In order to sweeten the deal Alli’s best friend and house-mate, former MK Dons midfielder Harry Hickford, will be taken on by the winning agency.
So who should he chose?
A move to Mino Raiola’s camp would be history in itself as the 49-year-old doesn’t represent any other English players.
He does, however, boast a stable of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, all of whom have made expensive moves in the last two years.
Mendes’ Gestifute agency is best known for representing Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as a host of other big names.
But Mendes wasn’t able to shift Diego Costa in the summer when the Spain international set his heart on a move back to Atletico Madrid.
So should Spurs fans panic?
Alli still has five years on his contract at Spurs but is believed to harbour a desire to play for Barcelona and Real Madrid one day (who doesn’t?).
So, in short, yes you should be panicking Spurs fans. Apologies.
