Wednesday night’s Champions League has begun with a bang, with goals scored in the opening few minutes in all three games English clubs are involved in.
Man City, up against Dutch champions Feyenoord, scored after just 90 seconds into the game thanks to a John Stones header.
Not long after, Spurs went ahead against Borussia Dortmund courtesy of a lovely Son Heung-min goal, while Liverpool went behind when Wissam Ben Yedder struck for Sevilla.
Stones’ goal came from a cross into the box from David Silva, with the towering defender heading the ball through the legs of Feyenoord’s Tonny Vilhena.
Son’s goal was simply majestic, with the Korean running through the BVB defence before striking from a difficult angle.
The Spurs forward loves a goal against the Bundesliga side, having now scored SEVEN times against them.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will be disappointed to go behind so early against Sevilla.
Following their 5-0 demolition at the hands of Man City at the weekend, Jurgen Klopp would’ve been hoping for a better show from his dodgy defence.
If you’re a casual fan, you probably don’t know where to look right now.
City look likely dominate Feyenoord, with Pep Guardiola’s side looking hungry for goals.
Spurs’ clash against Dortmund is arguably the biggest heavyweight game, with most of us fascinated to see how a weak-at-Wembley Tottenham compare with the German giants.
And Liverpool’s game against La Liga also-rans Sevilla is a re-run of the 2016 Europa League final.
I mean, we LOVE goals, don’t get me wrong.
But it’s all a little too much to handle right now.
And our pre-match ACCA is in tatters right now.
Which game are you watching?
