Tottenham take on Borussia Dortmund this evening as they get their Champions League campaign underway.
And manager Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to get off to a good start in this season’s competition, after losing out in the group stage last time out.

But as Spurs prepare to face the Bundesliga giants this evening, it has to be said that they’re seemingly in a much better position this season.
Pochettino (eventually) strengthened his side in the summer with the signings of Davinson Sanchez and Fernando Llorente, while they’re kinda/sorta/not really getting the hang of playing at Wembley.
But Pochettino does possess a secret weapon for tonight’s game in the form of South Korean forward Son Heung-min.
Keep with us here, OK?
Son has started just once so far this season and played a grand total of five minutes against Everton at the weekend.
But with Dele Alli suspended for Spurs’ first three Champions League games thanks to that silly red card he picked up against Gent in last season’s Europa League, we have a good reason to expect him to start in tonight’s game or at least play some role from the bench.
What’s more, Son has a terrific goal scoring record against Dortmund, having scored SIX times in eight matches against them, stretching back to his time in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen.
In fact, the South Korea international has scored more goals against the team in yellow than against any other side.
Why Son is a safe bet for first goalscorer tonight

- The Spurs man simply loves scoring against BVB
- He’s bagged SIX against them in eight previous meetings
- He’ll likely start tonight in the absence of Dele Alli
- Get Wright On It: Son to score first against Dortmund (13/2)
So it seems he really loves going up against BVB.
Reckon he can grab another goal against them tonight?
We do, we do.
