SHANGHAI SHENHUA’S new boss Wu Jingui has slammed Carlos Tevez for being overweight and told the £650,000-a-week striker he will not select him.
Tevez moved to the Chinese Super League club in December and became the world’s highest paid player but failed to live up to his pay packet.

The former Manchester United and City star has netted just twice in 15 games and Wu has revealed he is not fit enough to play.
Wu said: “‘I won’t pick him right now. He’s not ready physically. He’s not fit to play.
“He is overweight, along with [Fredy] Guarin. I have to take responsibility for the team and the players as well.
“If you are unable do your utmost to play, there’s no point in picking you. I have coached lots of big stars, and my players are never picked on reputation”
Tevez recently returned to action after recovering from a calf injury but was booed by fans during Shenhua’s 2-1 defeat to Henan Jianye.
The 33-year-old ended his second spell with Boca to join the Chinese Super League side and the forward can only exercise a release clause in December.
And Tevez admitted another return to his boyhood club would be difficult.
Tevez said: “My contract is very complex and it’s very difficult for me to return.
“The Chinese are not stupid.”
Shenhua are currently languishing in 11th position in the table after four consecutive defeats under former boss Gus Poyet.
The summer transfer window was one the craziest we have ever seen.
