WATCH: Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois scores an absolute worldie in training

The Belgian shot-stopper showed his striking ability by scoring a stunning volley at the Blues' Cobham training ground

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois showed us all he’s not just a great shot-stopper after scoring an absolute beauty at Chelsea’s training ground.

The towering Belgian connected perfectly with a cross to send the ball hurting off the underside of the crossbar and into the net, with fellow ‘keepers Eduardo Carvalho and Willy Caballero looking on with bemusement.

What a beauty.

It seems the Chelsea No 1 enjoyed that strike, sliding to his knees in a wild celebration.

Eduardo – Chelsea’s third-choice goalie – could do nothing to stop that one, while new signing Caballero simply looked on.

With the Blues failure to sign Fernando Llorente from Swansea on transfer deadline day and AWOL striker Diego Costa somewhere in Brazil, it seems Courtois might have a genuine chance of playing up front for Antonio Conte’s side this season if Alvaro Morata gets an injury.

We reckon he’d get in ahead of Michy Batshuayi, anyway.

This isn’t the first time Courtois has shown off his eye for goal during training, having netted a stunning 25 yards free kick a little while back.

Just don’t ask him to take another penalty anytime soon.
