Mauricio Pochettino has warned his new Spurs signing Serge Aurier that if he ever slams him in the same way he did former manager Laurent Blanc he will headbutt him!
The Tottenham boss insists he has no worries about his new £23million capture from Paris-Saint Germain, despite his checkered past at the French giants.
The right-back’s many misdemeanours included calling boss Blanc “a faggot” during an online Q&A with fans.
And when asked if his gaffer “sucks” star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Aurier replied with: “Yeah and he takes the balls with it. He takes everything.”
Pochettino said: “I have had a long chat with him. I explained what how we are, how I am and what I expect from him, the commitment.
“And what he said about Blanc? I said to him ‘I will headbutt you.’”
Aurier could make his Spurs debut this Saturday away to Everton at Goodison Park after taking the Eurostar from Paris to London for his first day at the club.
He made 57 appearances over the course of three seasons for PSG, winning two Ligue 1 titles, three league cups and three French cups.
Kieran Trippier is Spurs’ first choice at right-back following the sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City.
But Aurier clearly thinks he should be the new No.1 in north London after claiming he was the best defender in French football.
He said: “Statistically speaking, I am the most influential defender in Ligue 1 between 2013 and now. I have also won nine trophies with PSG.”
