Ousmane Dembele reveals surprising way he’s been learning Spanish after Barcelona move

Ousmane Dembele has been using Netflix series Narcos to help him out after moving to Barcelona

The hardest part of moving to a new country is learning the language.

Even moving to a different part of England requires a complete re-training of the ear.

So spare a thought for Ousmane Dembele who, at the age of 20, is moving to Spain to start a brand new life in Barcelona.

Of course when you’re worth £135.5million you can probably afford a decent language coach or two (or 50).

But Dembele has come up with a clever way of learning Spanish in his own time.

It involves a Colombian drug lord and Netflix & Chill.

We are, of course, talking about Narcos, the Netflix sensation which has just entered its third series.

In one of his first interviews since joining Barcelona, Dembele revealed that the show has been helping him settle in to life in Spain.

Dembele said: “Narcos! I watch it a lot. I am mad about that series.

“They (Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne) know I sing the song and everything sometimes but I keep it to myself.”

So there you go.

Want to learn a new language? Just flick on Netflix and settle in to your favourite foreign series.
