Germany’s Joshua Kimmich has equalled a record previously set by Franz Beckenbauer

The Bayern Munich youngster's stock continues to rise

Typically, things are going pretty well for Germany.

They’re currently top of their World Cup qualifying group following their 6-0 drubbing of Norway last night, and they’re undoubtedly one of the favourites to win next summer’s tournament.

Kimmich, playing at right-back following Lahm’s retirement, was instrumental in the side’s win, playing his part in Germany’s fourth goal and assisting their sixth as they ran riot.

The youngster’s run of game’s for his country stretches back to their successful Confederations Cup campaign over the summer, having made his debut last year.

A future Germany captain? Don’t rule it out.
