He is likely to cost in the region of £35m having joined Chelsea for £30million from Russian side Anzi Makhachkala back in August 2013.

Initially Mourinho had been chasing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan to fill a role wide right but kept hitting a brick wall in his bid to land him.

It would be another incredible coup for Mourinho if he were to get Willian.

Much will depend on who Chelsea manager Antonio Conte gets himself on this deadline day, with the Blues chasing Leicester pair Riyad Mahrez and Danny Drinkwater.
