This is a story about PSG, a teenage French striker and a loan deal.
But, before you switch off, it isn’t about Kylian Mbappe. Instead, it’s about 19-year-old Odsonne Edouard.
The striker is set to join Celtic on loan, according to Le Parisien.
On the face of it both Edouard and Mbappe have plenty in common.
Like Mbappe, Edouard starred at youth level for France, winning the Under-17 European Championships in 2015.
Not was Edouard top goalscorer, he was also named the Golden Player, an award previously won by Wayne Rooney, Cesc Fabregas and Toni Kroos.
But Edouard’s progress was halted last season when, while on loan at Toulouse, he was accused of injuring a member of the public with an air-gun.
The striker was handed a four-month suspended prison sentence and fined €6,000 for his role in the incident, although he denies he was the one who fired the shot and is appealing the decision.
So will Brendan Rodgers take the gamble?
