This leaked picture of Stevan Jovetic proves Kylian Mbappe to PSG is DONE

The former Manchester City striker has been seen wearing a Monaco shirt ahead of his move

Everybody loves a leaked photo, right?

And there’s more to meet the eye in this picture of Stevan Jovetic posing in a Monaco shirt.

The Inter Milan striker has been linked with a move to the Ligue 1 champions all summer and, on this evidence, it appears the deal is either done or imminent.

But his new shirt number is the most interesting pointer to emerge from the leaked photo.

That’s because Jovetic appears to be wearing the number 10 shirt – the very same number previously owned by Kylian Mbappe.

Curious, eh?

Mbappe, of course, is reportedly on the brink of a mammoth move to PSG, although the mega-rich side will take him on loan before forking out the transfer £160m fee in 12 months to alleviate concerns about Financial Fair Play.

Mbappe took Europe by storm last season in his breakthrough year, scoring 26 times in 44 appearances after October.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal have all been keeping tabs on him, but it is Monaco’s main title rivals who have won the race for his signature.

Jovetic has been a bit of a European journeyman since leaving Manchester City in 2014 but his goal-to-games ratio is still highly impressive.

The Montenegrin striker spent last season on loan at Sevilla and was a useful asset, scoring a late winner against Real Madrid to end Los Blancos’ 40-game unbeaten streak.

And his move to Monaco – as the 18-year-old’s replacement – means all the pieces are falling into place for Mbappe.
