Simon Mignolet dropped from Liverpool team despite not being injured for Arsenal match

The Belgian keeper has started every game so far for the Reds this season

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is set to be dropped from the entire squad by Jurgen Klopp for their Premier League match against Arsenal.

The Belgian has played in every Reds game so far this season, and his complete exclusion is a surprise move from his manager.

Loris Karius is expected to start in his place, with Danny Ward as reserve.

Mignolet isn’t believed to be injured or ill, and reports from Belgium suggest the stopper wants an explanation from Klopp.

⚽Liverpool v Arsenal betting tip: Liverpool to win, 11/10⚽

LIVERPOOL always save their best for the top six.

In a mini league with Spurs, Arsenal, Man United, Man City and Chelsea, Liverpool picked up the most points last term – double that of Arsenal. This game will suit Jurgen Klopp and 11/10 for a home win is far too good to resist.

Whether or not Mignolet is just being rested or not remains to be seen, but it does mean any Dream Team managers with Mignolet in their XI will be left frustrated.

Mignolet has scored seven points in Dream Team so far, and has only been selected by 1.5% of managers.

Burnley’s Tom Heaton and Stoke’s Jack Butland have both been selected by more Dream Team managers than Mignolet, so it might be worth thinking about a change?
