Are Barcelona playing a game of bingo to pick their transfer targets?
Only last week the club agreed the signing of Paulinho from Guangzhou Everhrande, much to the amusement of Spurs fans.
Now Barca are in for Valencia’s 28-year-old midfielder Daniel Parejo, according to SPORT.
Now if that name rings a slight bell then you’re probably a fan of QPR, or one of the 14 Championship teams Parejo played against during the 2008/09 season.
Parejo signed for QPR when Flavio Briatore, the Italian businessman and one-time manager of Renault’s Formula One racing team, was chairman of the club.
Can you guess where Parejo was on loan from? Look away now Barcelona fans.
Parejo was loaned out by Real Madrid, having graduated through their academy.
After learning his traded at the school of Ian Dowie, Parejo returned to Madrid, before joining Getafe on a permanent deal in 2009.
He’s been at Valencia since 2011 but had a low point in his career in 2015 when Gary Neville stripped him of the captaincy at the club.
Parejo has a €50million release clause in his contract, although the report claims Valencia would be willing to lower that if Barcelona act on their interest.
The move makes sense for Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde, who knows the player having managed him during the 2012/13 season.
But we’re not sure how well it will go down with Barcelona fans, given his links to their arch-rivals.

- ADD TO BETSLIP: Tuchel next Chelsea boss, 6/4
“Last night he was 14/1 to be the next Prem boss to go – now our traders have been forced to slash him to just 6/4.”
“And with Thomas Tuchel hovering that price will only go one way.”
