MANCHESTER UNITED youngster Andreas Pereira is close to a loan move to Valencia, according to reports in Spain.
Despite a brilliant pre-season, the Belgium-born Brazilian has not even made the bench in either of United’s two Premier League wins so far this season.
SER Sports Valencia report that the 21-year-old is “very close” to a year-long loan move.
Pereira spent last season on loan at Valencia’s La Liga rivals Granada, impressing with five goals.
United fans had been mightily impressed with the youngster during pre-season – where he some part played in all of United’s matches.
His versatility saw calls for Mourinho to use him as a regular member of the squad this season.
Pereira can play on either wing, as a No 10, in central midfield and in front of the back four.
The youngster also counts as a homegrown player and is young enough to play without being named on the 25-man Premier League and Champions League squad lists.
But after Mourinho failed to name Pereira on the bench in the 4-0 wins over West Ham and Swansea, it appears he could be on the move.
United have looked brilliant so far this season and are now considered strong title contenders.
After mixed debut campaigns, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have been especially impressive, while Anthony Martial seems to have won the trust of Mourinho after a rocky season last year.
With Nemanja Matic also excelling since moving from rivals Chelsea, Mourinho’s squad is now looking mightily strong.
Pereira would likely only find limited minutes if he stayed at Old Trafford.
