You’d have forgiven Neymar for taking a couple of weeks to settle in following his move from Barcelona to PSG.
The pressure to perform under the weight of a world transfer record, coupled with a new environment and lack of pre-season could easily have taken it’s toll.
But this is Neymar, a man for whom normal rules don’t apply. Hence the fact he’s already scoring goals like this.

The Brazilian inspired PSG to a 6-2 win against Toulouse in his first game at the Parc des Princes, taking his tally to three goals and three assists in 180 minutes of football.
After the game the 25-year-old finally spoke about the situations going on at his former club that forced him to leave Spain.
He told reporters: “Barca deserve much better. The people in charge are not the people who should be there, for the direction of Barca.
“I want to speak the truth, I’m very sad with them. I spent four years there and I was very happy. At the start, I was happy. I spent four beautiful years there and I parted happy.
“But with the club’s directors, no. For me, they are not the people who should be there, for the direction of Barca,” said Neymar.”
“I don’t know what’s going on there, but I see my old teammates sad, and it’s that which makes me sad because I have a lot of friends there.
“I hope that things will improve for Barca and that they will become a team that can rival others.”
Aside from selling one of their best players, failing to sign a replacement and then, to top it all off, buying Paulinho for £36.4million, we think the Barcelona board are doing a great job.
All they need to do now is sell Luis Saurez and Lionel Messi, bring in Roberto Soldado and hire Tim Sherwood to coach the team.
Problems solved.
