AC Milan’s summer spending spree continues with “super” offer for Bayern Munich star

The Italian giants have already spent big this summer bringing in a host of new players

It’s been a mad ol’ summer.

Paris Saint-Germain smashed the transfer record to sign Neymar from Barcelona, Man City made Kyle Walker the world’s most expensive defender and Chelsea are plotting a £40million bid for Danny Drinkwater.

But arguably, the club that’s made the biggest headlines across Europe are AC Milan, who have signed a host of new players in a bid to challenge at the top of Serie A once again.

The club has spent over £160million on new signings so far, adding the likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Andre Silva, Hakan Calhanoglu and Ricardo Rodriguez to their ranks.

And their spending spree is no where near complete.

According to reports in Chile, Milan are plotting an audacious bid to bring Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal back to Italy.

Chile’s TVN have revealed Milan offered Bayern a “super” bid for Vidal and are willing to double the Chilean’s salary.

We’re not sure what a “super” bid is, but it sounds good.

According to reports, the club want Vidal “to complete their new-look midfield alongside summer signings Lucas Biglia and Franck Kessie.”

But bringing the former Juventus man to the San Siro will prove tricky, with Bayern already turning-down interest from Inter Milan last month.

According to Chilean media, Vidal himself rejected the move to Inter due to his relationship with Juve.

But who knows?

Like we said, it’s been a mad summer.
