Rob Holding is a bit of legend in the eyes of Arsenal fans, especially after his solid performance in the FA Cup final against Chelsea back in May.
The young centre-back stood firm against the Blues’ attack, constantly getting the better of fiery forward Diego Costa.
The Spain international may have scored Chelsea’s equaliser, but struggled to make much of an impact on the final overall.
His performance was marred by an altercation with Holding during the opening half, while fans have been desperate to know what was said between the two.
During a Q&A event with Arsenal members, Holding was asked what he said.
And the reply was brilliant.
Holding said: “An expletive, then I just called him a nutter basically.
“Something’s not right in his head I don’t think.
“I knew what he was going to play like, I knew he was going to try the mind games and try and throw me off my game, so I just didn’t rise to it and got back into position.
“I think he sort of tapped my chest so I think there was a little bit of respect there maybe, so he was alright.”
Arsenal were surprise winners during the Wembley showpiece, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey.
The bitter rivals face one another again at Wembley this weekend as they contest the Community Shield.
