Neymar has officially been unveiled as a Paris Saint-Germain player.
The Brazilian superstar completed his sensational £198million transfer to the Ligue 1 club from Barcelona on Thursday evening.
Neymar’s arrival at the Parisian giants has sent shockwaves throughout the football world, with his transfer fee more than doubling the world record set by Paul Pogba’s move to Manchester United last season.
And PSG unsurprisingly spared no expense to welcome their new hero to the Parc des Princes.
Neymar sent a message to fans last night announcing his move to PSG, and thanked everyone at Barcelona for helping his career rise to the level he now operates at.
He scored 105 goals in 186 games for the Catalan giants, helping the club to back-to-back La Liga titles in 2015 and 2016.
He also lifted the Champions League in 2015 and was one-third of the MSN, the famous attacking trio alongside Messi and Suarez.
Many see him as a future Ballon d’Or winner, once Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have called it a day.
But the Brazilian is keen to win the award as soon as possible, and his move to Paris has had many commentators claiming it has come about due to the 25-year-old wanting to step out of Messi’s shadow.
