Come rain, snow or sun, Inter have provided players for football’s biggest event stretching back 35 years.

The big question is, can you name them?

Let’s start in Spain, with World Cup 1982. Italy took on West Germany in the final, winning 3-1, with Inter players Giueseppe Bergomi and Gabriele Oriali both coming out on top.

Four years later Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was on the losing side as West Germany lost 3-2 to Diego Maradona’s Argentina in Mexico.

Italy 1990 saw West Germany avenge their loss to Argentina, with Andreas Brehme, Jurgen Klinsmann and Lothar Matthaus all on the winning side.

In 1994 Nicola Berti lost out as Brazil won their fourth title, beating Italy in the United States.

Fast forward another four years, to one of the most memorable finals in recent memory, and Youri Djorkaeff was coming out on top against Ronaldo as France beat Brazil 3-1 in Paris.

Ronaldo bounced back at the 2002 World Cup, while Marco Materazzi was the pantomime villain four years later in Germany as Italy beat France on penalties.

The finally two Inter representatives were Wesley Sneijder and Rodrigo Palacio, who lost the 2010 and 2014 World Cup finals respectively.
