Anyone who’s been on the internet at any point during the last six months will know all about ‘cracking open a cold one’.
Just starting work? Crack open a cold one. Just finishing work? Crack open a cold one. About to meet the in-laws for he first time? You know the drill.
Czech First League side Viktoria Plzen have taken that to the next level by installing giant beer cans as their dugouts at their Doosan Arena stadium.
The dugouts, which came about as a result of a partnership with brewery Gambrinus, took four weeks to make and required two tonnes of metal and 300 square metres of aluminium.
Cracking a cold one never required so much work.
Housing 14 seats each, the dugouts will first be on show when Plzen play Dukla Prague in the first game of the Czech season.
Plzen’s general manager Adolf Sadek: “These are quite unique and I dare to say there is no other club with them.”
Yep, you’re probably right there Adolf. We can’t see too many other sides following suit.
Can you imagine Jose Mourinho trying to get angry while sitting inside a giant Super Strongbow can?
All that writing was thirsty work, so we’re off to crack a lukewarm one.
