Neymar must be a busy man.
When not answering questions on his future he’s busy designing a first signature Nike Mercurial Vapor boot.
The Neymar Jr ‘Written in the Stars’ are the Barcelona forward’s first venture into a signature line with Nike.
As with most new boot releases the bright colour scheme is likely to ruffle a few feathers, but at least plenty of thought has gone into the design.
There is a reference to his first goal for Brazil, against the United States, on 10 August 2010 and a nod to his Olympic Gold triumph at the Rio Games last year.
Neymar has included the birth dates of his sister, Rafaella, and his son, David Lucca, as well as his own, just in case he forgets.
There’s also his top speed of 34.7 km/h and dotted geographical figures to mimic the maps of Barcelona and Brasil.
Done there? We don’t think so.
Neymar’s first Barcelona goal, first goal against Real Madrid, goal in the Champions League final, his 100th career goal and his stunning goal against Villarreal in 2015 are all included.
So in short, the boot is just one big tribute to Barcelona. Someone should tell PSG.
