PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are growing more and more confident they’re on the brink of pulling off the sensational double-signing of Alexis Sanchez and Neymar.
The French giants are hoping to regain their Ligue 1 crown in 2017-18 with the massive signings of the Arsenal and Barcelona duo this summer.
The two deals are expected to set PSG back £240million, with Brazilian ace Neymar due to cost an astonishing world record fee of £195m.
Meanwhile, Gunners ace Sanchez has become disillusioned with life at the Emirates and will join PSG in order to get back to Champions League football.
Arsenal famously missed out on Europe’s elite competition for the first time since Arsene Wenger took over in 1996.
On Friday, Sanchez was reportedly at the five-star Royal Monceau Raffles in Paris to meet with the Ligue 1 side’s sporting director Antero Henrique.
Senior sources in the French capital have confirmed that the Chilean, 28, arrived in a limousine at the £600-a-night hotel.
Henrique was then spotted leaving the hotel later that day.
The source added: “His (Sanchez) business here is confidential, but we are very used to having superstar footballers staying.”
Meanwhile, Neymar reportedly will not return to Barcelona and will head straight to Paris after the Catalans’ pre-season tour of the USA.
The La Liga giants have been adamant that their superstar will not be leaving this summer.
The shock news of Neymar’s unhappiness at the Nou Camp emerged last week after reports he had grown tired of living in the shadow of Lionel Messi.
It is claimed he dreams of being recognised as the planet’s best footballer and believes he will not be able to achieve that while playing second fiddle to the Argentine icon.
PSG will happily give Neymar the key to the team, with Sanchez playing more than capable back-up to his fellow South American superstar.
