Jose Mourinho’s newest transfer target has raised a few eyebrows.
Man United have reportedly expressed a desire to sign PSG right-back Serge Aurier as Monaco continue to play hardball over Fabinho.
The Red Devils have long been linked with the Ligue 1 winner, who can play as a full-back or a centre-midfielder, but believe Monaco’s valuation of the 23-year-old is too high.
And so the Special One’s attention has drifted north to Paris where notorious badboy Aurier currently resides.
The Ivory Coast international’s career has somewhat stalled at PSG as off-field antics have overshadowed his performances on the field.
Aurier was unable to enter the UK when PSG met Arsenal in the Champions League last season because of a conviction for assaulting a police officer.
Pending an appeal, the 24-year-old right-back is expected to serve his sentence via community service after initially facing the prospect of two months in prison.
Aurier was also suspended by the club after a controversial rant on Periscope in which he called Zlatan Ibrahimovic a ‘pussy’ and hinted at a homosexual relationship between the enigmatic Swede and Laurent Blanc.
He was also criticised for a throat-slitting celebration while on duty for Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations.
In terms of his qualities as a player, United fans will be very concerned about his disciplinary record.
He is quick to anger and prone to a yellow card, picking up 32 cautions in the last three and half seasons.

Strong and quick, his defensive qualities have often been questioned with Thomas Meunier and Marquinhos being preferred in his position in recent months.
A price tag of £25million is being reported by the Independent but many fans would see Aurier as a downgrade on the ultra-consistent Antonio Valencia
Don’t do anything rash, Jose.
